That Zarrelli was experiencing for the first time as a transfer student to Florida State University from snow-covered Upstate, New York.

After college Zarrelli moved to South Florida where he was the Vice President of a start-up newspaper called the Beachfront News. As well as a popular bartender at the world-famous Dicey Rileys on Second Street. The Beachfront News was a fun and exciting start-up that was very popular in Fort Lauderdale. While working at Dicey Rileys Zarrelli was also a master’s class in South Florida business, marketing, and networking for Zarrelli. Since everyone who is anyone in Fort Lauderdale hangs out there at some point in their career. After a few years as VP at Beachfront News, Zarrelli was ready to go out on his own and become a publisher.

Zarrelli left the Beachfront News to start his own publication the South Florida Chronicle. The Chronicle grew to over 100 advertisers and 68 pages before closing its print shop doors to go all online in 2008.
